SmartFlush, battery or mains powered, utilises passive infra-red (PIR) technology to control a solenoid latching valve. Whenever someone uses the urinal, the PIR triggers a single flush, either instantly, or after a 10 or 20 minute delay. Thereafter, SmartFlush closes the valve and waits for the next user. If unused for 12 or 24 hours the cistern is flushed once to maintain hygiene standards.
